Autohero Extends DTM Series Partnership

The joint love for cars is going into the next round: DTM is extending its cooperation with Autohero. As a result, Europe’s leading online shop for used cars remains an official series’ partner.

With the continuation of the partnership, Autohero is building on a successful first season and has again opted for a comprehensive presence on all DTM race cars, the race suits and the boarding along the circuits.

DTM starts season 36 with drivers from 15 countries in 29 cars

New for this year is the presenting role of the “Autohero Fastest Lap”, the fastest race lap time that, for the first time, is being rewarded with one point for the championship standings and will also be acknowledged with an additional award at the end of the 2022 race season.

Particular attention goes out to the two race days (20-22 May 2022) at Lausitzring, officially presented by Autohero as its home race weekend. From May onwards, a new visitors’ stand is awaiting the DTM fans with an integrated stage, an extensive activity programme and interactive games.

“Of course, the fact that we will be continuing our successful partnership with Autohero in the future as well, is making us very happy,” says Benedikt Böhme, managing director of the DTM organisation ITR. “For us, it is also a confirmation of the road we have taken. We want to continue the development of DTM and provide fans and partners with the best of a thrilling and spectacular motorsport platform.”

Going into its 36th season this year, DTM is getting underway at Portimão in Portugal on 29 April, the final race weekend will be held at Hockenheimring at the beginning of October. Further venues in Germany are Lausitzring, Nürburgring and Norisring. Witt Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche, six automotive brands are represented in the long-standing series. In total, 29 professional racing drivers from 15 countries will be on the grid, the largest DTM field in over 20 years.

The races of the 2022 DTM on Saturdays and Sundays start at 1.30pm CEST and will be broadcast on ProSieben in the German-speaking region for the first time.
