The Haas F1 Team goes to the Australian Grand Prix as fifth in the Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship 2022. The American team achieved a whopping 12 points in the first two races of the new season, 4 points behind rival Alpine.
Team principal Guenther Steiner thinks consistent points scoring is a reality for the coming races. Especially with a view to the GP in Melbourne where the Formula 1 race journey started in 2016 for Haas. It was also the venue for Kevin Magnussen’s own Formula 1 debut, in 2014, for his teammate, Mick Schumacher, it is the first F1 GP.

After two races and points in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, it is still too early in the season to understand if this is representative of each team’s pace. Are points in each race a realistic target for Haas F1 Team in the battle for the 2022 F1 World Championship? “I think it’s realistic that we can aim for points in every race,” Steiner believes.
“At least the first half of the season and then we can see if teams make big upgrades or if they gain a lot of pace. I’m optimistic we can keep this form, we just have to try and score points with both cars.”
