Jesse Carrasquedo Jr. joins Campos Racing for F4 Spain debut

2022 Formula 4 Spain Campos Racing

Campos Racing is pleased to announce that Jesse Carrasquedo Jr. will join the Formula 4 Spain roster to compete with the team for the 2022 season. New addition Carrasquedo Jr. is the fifth driver to be confirmed after previously announced Filip Jenić, Georg Kelstrup, Hugh Barter and Nikola Tsolov.

It is an extremely young line-up in terms of average age, but at the same time they are five very talented drivers with huge racing prospects for the future. Campos Racing will introduce five new halo-shod Tatuus T-021 cars.

Carrasquedo was born in León (Mexico) and will make his official debut in the Formula 4 racing series a few days after turning 15. His natural racing talent caught the eye of Sergio “Checo” Pérez, who was a Campos Racing driver during his GP2 series career, and Toño Pérez, who guided his first steps in motorsport and closely follows his racing career. Another former Campos Racing driver, Marc Gené, paved the way for the arrival of Carrasquedo Jr. in the Spanish team. Finally, Campos Racing has been working extensively with the Mexican talent through the Campos Academy over the past year to make his transition from karting to single-seater racing as smooth as possible.

Jesse Carrasquedo (Campos Racing driver of F4 Spain): “It is a pleasure to announce my signing to participate in the Formula 4 Spain Championship. Since last year I have been working on getting into single-seater racing with Campos Academy and I can’t wait to start racing. I am very happy with the opportunity and help I got from them, because I think we can achieve great success together. Don’t miss our races, because there will be a lot of fun! I will push very hard because I am honored to represent my country, my team and all those who support me in motorsport. Our goal is to fight for the championship and do our best. As hard as possible. We will not give up. See you on the track!”
